CGA Ontario announces entry into exploratory merger discussions
There has been discussion, both nationally and provincially, on the potential of a merger among the three accountancy bodies.

CGA Ontario announced Friday that it has entered into exploratory discussions with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario regarding the future of the accounting profession in Ontario. CGA Ontario has consulted widely with its membership and stakeholders and received valuable input that will be reflected in discussions supporting this important issue.

CGA Ontario leadership is committed to exploring this opportunity and the potential benefits it can provide for both the public and membership.
