Hamilton Chapter
Hamilton Chapter has its roots in the 1930s as one of the original branch offices of the Certified General Accountants’ Association Toronto Branch. As such, Hamilton Chapter’s history is entrenched in the history of CGA Ontario. Hamilton Branch formed and operated from Toronto Chapter until 1964-65, when its first chair, Arthur Copley, CGA, took the reigns of the newly independent Hamilton Chapter.
Since then, the members of Hamilton Chapter have fostered economic growth and prosperity in the Golden Horseshoe (the industrialized cities and towns that stretch from the Niagara Peninsula to Oshawa along the shores of Lake Ontario), and in particular the heavily industrialized “Pittsburgh of the North” area of Burlington Bay.
