Kitchener-Waterloo Chapter
With a membership in excess of 1,200 CGAs and students, Kitchener-Waterloo Chapter celebrated its 40th year as a chapter during the 2006-07 year. Ron Ross, CGA, served as the first chapter chair during the chapter’s inaugural 1966-67 year. For four years commencing in 1977, CGAs in the northern portion of the chapter operated as Owen Sound Chapter; however, its membership was eventually re-united with its southern cousins in 1981.
One of CGA Ontario’s most prolific, community service initiatives, Tax Preparation Services (TPS) finds its roots in Kitchener-Waterloo Chapter. Starting in 1982, TPS are now offered in all 18 of CGA Ontario’s chapters!
