Niagara Chapter
CGA Ontario Niagara Chapter traces its roots to two local accounting clubs, or study groups, in the Niagara Region—St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. These clubs joined to become one of the national Certified General Accountants’ Association’s original branch offices in the 1930s. The creation of Niagara Chapter took place shortly after the establishment of CGA Ontario, thanks to the efforts of Herb Perry, FCGA and Nick Olesevich, CGA. Niagara Chapter was established on February 15, 1958, and commenced its operations on May 1, 1958.
Niagara Chapter’s membership has grown from its earliest days as two distinct study groups to a chapter boasting 325 CGAs and nearly 100 students.
