You must be a permanent resident of Ontario with Canadian Citizenship, landed immigrant status or an acceptable study permit.
You must currently own, have the legitimate use of, or intend to purchase, a Windows-based computer and software that meets or exceeds the specifications as published on the CGA Ontario website and in the Student Handbook under the section "Minimum Student Computer System" for the current year. These products are required to successfully participate in the CGA program of professional studies.
If you have been sanctioned by another regulatory body you must submit full details of the sanction prior to enrolment. This will be reviewed by the manager of admissions and registration.
Applicants who have been found guilty of a criminal offence or other serious offence must submit the following (even if a pardon has been granted) in a confidential envelope to manager of admissions and registration, CGA Ontario – 240 Eglinton Ave E, Toronto M4P 1K8:
- A copy of the official court record of conviction if no pardon has been granted or a copy of the official pardon.
- An explanation of the conviction in writing.
- Two current, original letters of reference from non family members verifying your character.
Once all the above information is provided and reviewed by the manager of admissions and registration, you will be advised if your application for enrolment will be accepted. Applicants who are denied entry into the program have a right to appeal this denial if they have additional information to submit that they feel will be relevant to the decision.
The CGA Ontario program of professional studies is open to permanent residents who are Canadian citizens, landed immigrants or individuals who hold a valid study visa. Please refer to the Study Visa Applicant Form for specific enrolment requirements for individuals holding a study visa.

The CGA program welcomes applicants with a variety of educational backgrounds, including:
Students who hold a bachelor degree.
Students with a college diploma.
Those with partial post-secondary credits.
Mature students over the age of 21 with two years of business experience.
